They had been running for a little over five hundred years, after the one mistake that cost them both to live their eternal lives on the run. She and Trevor kept moving from one town to the next in search for the Petrova whom had fled Klaus's grip, and for that she would have to pay. Seeing that Trevor has taken on responsibility to help aide her escape, Rose was trying to deter a plan to bring her back to them before it was too late for them and upon doing so she carelessly had forgotten to watch the Petrova for she intended to kill herself, yet as foolish as Trevor it was just a ploy for her to survive.
Her down fall was letting her die on her watch with her own vampire blood within her system, prompting her to hang herself and feed from the cottage owner upon her escape. Thus leaving them no other choice but to run as well, since they had failed the originals. Yet, it wasn't entirely her fault to begin with, before the escape she had made plans with Elijah to hold her there until he came to fetch her but at the last moment she had fled. Outsmarting the both of them, which didn't sit well and in return had made an enemy until further notice, only if they had something to offer up, should they then cut a deal with the originals.
Making their way through Mystic Falls, Virginia they decided to stop at the diner for a rest. Squeezing in the booth across from Trevor he began to pick up the town's newspaper and started to read. Rose shook her head as she ordered herself a gin and tonic as they awaited for time to pass, each small town had its ups and downs. This one quite frankly didn't seem too fun, kind of boring in a sense that they were just travelers passing by. "Thank you." she stated to the waiter whom slipped her the drink as her eyes came back to rest on Trevor, long slender fingers curled around the glass as she brought it to her lips, taking a needed sip until she looked around. "Dull." she commented yet again as she heard him pipe up about how she thought every passing town they went too was dull. "Not true...New Orleans sure was fun..." she chuckled a moment as her eyes landed on the paper he had within his hands. Something about the title and the family picture...started to blur. That face.
Reaching over the table to snatch the paper out of his hands she quieted his moans as she turned it around, the Petrova. She was displayed across the front page newspapers...something about a family accident that left her parents dead at the scene of the crash, at wickery bridge. "This is it." she said almost too thrilled, this was there chance for redemption. Pulling out her phone she dialed up Slater's phone number, her eyes reading the small print of the article as she found a name. Elena Gilbert, of Mystic Falls.
"Slater, I need Elijah's number. It's highly important. Like, crucial." she begged him on the other line, all the while her eyes kept scanning over the article, this was their golden ticket out.
After receiving the number she quickly hung up, and with a deep breath in she began to dial the number. Silence, then ringing, and then a setting of panic started to befall her at the same time. Hoping that this wasn't a mistake, or they would have outed themselves out from their current location. "E-Elijah? It's me...Rose. We need to talk." she voiced out her reasons upon needing to talk as she heard the other end of the line pick up.
